A chaplain is available at all times, day or night, to provide you and your family members with spiritual and emotional support.
At your request, a member of your health care team will contact a chaplain, or you may call the Chaplain’s Office at (904) 244-4115. After hours, in the event of immediate need, the chaplain may be reached by paging (904) 306-3929.
Our chaplains are trained to respect your values and beliefs and to help you cope with hospitalization and illness. The Chaplain’s Office also maintains a list of volunteers from various faith groups to assist those with specific needs. Personal ministers or spiritual advisers are also welcome.
The Pavilion Chapel on the second floor and the Clinical Center Chapel on the first floor are open every day, at all hours, to you and your visitors for personal prayer and meditation. Quiet rooms throughout the hospital are available upon request for private consultations with your physician, caregiver, personal minister, rabbi or spiritual adviser or the hospital chaplain.
