Acute Care Physical Therapy Residency

UF Health Jacksonville Acute Care Physical Therapy Residency

Welcome to the University of Florida Health Jacksonville Department of Rehabilitation Services. We offer patient care services at two acute care hospitals, one transitional care unit and five outpatient clinics at UF Health Jacksonville. We use a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to providing individualized and comprehensive care and address the rehabilitation needs of adult patients with a variety of diagnoses to best improve an individual's mobility, independence and quality of life. In addition to serving patients’ rehabilitative needs, we are proud to offer two robust PT residency programs where residents learn from and are mentored by highly qualified physical therapy faculty from the University of Florida Health system. The department also provides a long standing, entry-level clinical education program to occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech language pathology students from programs across the county.

We are pleased to offer an Acute Care Physical Therapy Residency Program in development with the ABPTRFE. The program officially opens in August 2024 with our first acute care PT Resident. Our talented group of acute care physical therapy faculty have put together an excellent post-graduate training experience for physical therapists looking to advance their skills in acute care practice.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
