UF Health Jacksonville medical oncologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of all types of cancer and other benign and malignant tumors. They provide patient consultations in the hospital as well as the outpatient setting.
Oncologists at UF Health Hematology and Medical Oncology in Jacksonville are at the forefront of cancer treatment in the area and are actively involved in clinical research directed at improving the knowledge and therapy of cancer services.
These specialists operate the outpatient hematology/oncology clinic and work closely with physicians and allied health professionals from various disciplines within the hospital, including the outpatient Infusion Center, the Breast Center and the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute. Patient care within UF Health Hematology and Medical Oncology often requires the expertise of multiple physicians, including surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, pulmonologists and radiation therapists.
As experts in their field, the oncologists also participate in the training of medical oncology fellows in a highly competitive oncology fellowship program. Each year there are three oncology fellows pursuing their training and board certification in medical oncology.
