Lindsay Bourn, Pharm.D.
PGY2 Pharmacy Resident – Critical Care
Lindsay Bourn, originally from Greensboro, North Carolina, earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 2024 from High Point University, where she also completed her undergraduate studies. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville. Lindsay’s clinical interests lie in intensive care, with a particular focus on medical and cardiovascular ICUs. Her current research project examines the impact of enteral nutrition timing on the incidence of nosocomial infections. Outside of pharmacy, Lindsay enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending trivia nights, and exploring new restaurants in the Jacksonville area.
Taylor Bunn, Pharm.D.
PGY2 Pharmacy Resident – Pain Management and Palliative Care
Taylor Bunn is from Jacksonville, Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville in 2019 and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Jacksonville Campus in 2024. She completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville. Taylor’s professional interests within Pain Management include palliative care, acute and chronic pain management, and substance use disorder. Her research project this year evaluates the impact of concurrent use of both diphenhydramine and opioids in hospitalized patients. In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing with her dog and cat, trying new Jacksonville restaurants, and traveling.
Astrid Candelaria-Jimenez, Pharm.D.
PGY2 Pharmacy Resident – Ambulatory Care
Astrid Candelaria-Jiménez is originally from Manatí, Puerto Rico. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Michigan College of Pharmacy in 2024, also graduating summa cum laude. Astrid completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at UF Health Jacksonville, where she continued to develop strong interests in ambulatory care, including primary care, gastroenterology, and oncology. Her current research project is assessing the impact of insurance authorizations on the accessibility of infused medications for patients with multiple sclerosis. Outside of pharmacy responsibilities, Astrid enjoys reading, working out, exploring new restaurants, and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Kimia Jazayeri, Pharm.D.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Kimia Jazayeri earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2025. She previously completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2020. Her professional interests include ambulatory care and internal medicine. For her residency research project, Kimia will be evaluating the safety of SGLT2 inhibitors in hospitalized patients with heart failure. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, practicing yoga, traveling and watching her favorite TV shows.
Alana Jula, PharmD.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Alana Jula is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Florida. She then completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Jacksonville campus in 2025. Currently, her professional interest is pediatrics - of which she wishes to complete a PGY2 in this area. For resident research, her project involves comparing the efficacy and safety of DOACs vs Warfarin for the resolution of LV thrombus. Alana enjoys shopping, pilates, caring for her dog Rooney, and watching football (Go Steelers & Gators!).
Inas Mahdi, Pharm.D.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Inas Mahdi earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in May 2025. She is especially interested in ambulatory care, oncology, and infectious diseases. For her research project this year, Inas will be evaluating the trend of specialty pharmacist interventions and outcomes. Inas is passionate about patient-centered care and is committed to improving health outcomes in underserved communities through accessible and compassionate pharmacy services.
Elise Mills, PharmD.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Elise Mills is from Palm City, Florida. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Florida in 2021 and graduated from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy in 2025. Her professional interests include emergency medicine and critical care. Her research project focuses on evaluating the outcomes of clinical decision support system insulin infusions in critically ill patients. In her free time, Elise enjoys going to the beach, working out, and trying new recipes.
Anjli Patel, Pharm.D.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Anjli Patel is from Jacksonville, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Physiology & Kinesiology and minor in Chemistry from the University of Florida. She then graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Her current professional interests include critical care and ambulatory care. For her residency research project, she will be analyzing the duration of high dose steroids for acute flares of neurological diseases and its impact on the rate of adverse reactions. In her free time, Anjli enjoys going to the beach, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Chase Reinbolt, PharmD.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Chase Reinbolt is from New Orleans, Louisiana and went to Louisiana State University for undergraduate pre-pharmacy studies (Geaux Tigers). She then graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Belmont University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Nashville. Her professional interests include critical care and neurological conditions. Her resident research project this year involves evaluating antibiotic treatment for 7 vs. 14 days for bloodstream infections in patients with HIV. In Chase's free time, she loves to go to the beach and box!
Sara Roach, Pharm.D.
PGY2 Pharmacy Resident – Emergency Medicine
Sara Roach is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from the University of New Mexico College of Pharmacy in 2024 and completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville. Her professional interests within emergency medicine include resuscitation, trauma, shock states, and stroke. Her research project this year will evaluate medication errors at freestanding emergency departments to potentially identify the need for prospective medication review at these locations. In her free time, Sara enjoys reading (especially Riley Sager’s books), collecting LEGO sets, and watching baseball.
Megan Sander, PharmD.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Megan Sander is from Little Rock, Arkansas. She received her bachelor’s degree in biology from Christian Brothers University and then completed her pharmacy education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 2025. Her current professional interests include emergency medicine and oncology. Her resident research project involves evaluating clevidipine vs nicardipine in post-operative neurosurgery patients. In her free time, Meg enjoys going on runs and spending time with her family, friends, and dog.
Dionna Shine, Pharm.D.
PGY2 Pharmacy Resident – Infectious Diseases
Dionna Shine is originally from Jacksonville, Florida. She earned her associate’s degree from the University of Florida in 2020 and went on to graduate summa cum laude from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy – Jacksonville Campus in 2024. Following pharmacy school, she completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville. Dionna has a strong interest in infectious diseases, with a particular focus on sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and the management of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Her residency research project is a multicenter study evaluating clinical outcomes in patients with Achromobacter spp. bloodstream and respiratory infections. Outside of pharmacy, Dionna enjoys attending anime conventions, R&B and rock concerts, listening to true crime podcasts, and watching horror movies.
Bethany Stavely, PharmD.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Bethany Stavely is originally from Glen St. Mary, Florida, a small town west of Jacksonville. She attended undergrad at the University of Florida and later moved to the UF College of Pharmacy in Jacksonville, Florida where she graduated Cum Laude in 2025. Her current professional interests include emergency medicine, critical care, and ambulatory care. For her research project this year, she will be looking into managing hypertension in those with traumatic brain injuries. In her free time, she enjoys kayaking, playing piano and violin, and getting together with her family for fellowship and good food!
Michelle Trout, MPH, PharmD.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Michelle Trout is from Central Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida, Master of Public Health concentrated in Epidemiology from University of West Florida, and most recently her Doctor of Pharmacy from LECOM. Currently her professional interests are emergency medicine, trauma, and pain management- of which she aspires to pursue a PGY2 training in one of these areas. For resident research this year, Michelle will be analyzing the impact on patient care due to prior authorization of schedule two prescriptions. In her personal time, Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, being at the beach, fishing, and running marathons.
Jordan Turner, Pharm.D.
PGY1 Pharmacy Resident
Jordan is originally from Rogers, Arkansas. He completed his pre-pharmacy coursework at the University of Arkansas, and graduated as a Jordin Scholar from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. His professional interests include infectious diseases and emergency medicine. For his research project, he will be looking at the impact of tranexamic acid on coagulation profiles in trauma patients. In his free time, he enjoys working out, golfing, and Arkansas baseball.
