Emma Chandlee, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Ambulatory Care Resident

Emma Chandlee is from Mansfield, Texas, south of Dallas. She graduated from Mercer University in Macon, Georgia in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, Georgia in 2022, and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville. Her current professional interests include ambulatory care and internal medicine. For her residency research project, she will be comparing outcomes of patients with Inflammatory Arthritis who fill their prescriptions at a health system specialty pharmacy versus a non- health system specialty pharmacy. In her free time, Emma enjoys playing soccer, working out, and binge- watching her favorite Netflix shows.

Monica Cozad, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Infectious Diseases Resident

Monica Cozad is from West Palm Beach, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Microbiology from the University of Florida. She then graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy and completed her PGY1 residency training at UF Health Jacksonville. Monica's professional interests include opportunistic infections and resistant gram negative infections. Her resident research project this year involves an evaluation of MRSA nasal screening and diabetic foot infections. In her free time, Monica enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her family.

Kennedy Crosby, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Critical Care Resident

Kennedy Crosby is from Walterboro, South Carolina. She graduated magna cum laude from Presbyterian College School of Pharmacy and completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at Parkland Health in Dallas, TX. Her professional interests include trauma, shock states, toxicology, and code blue response. For her residency project, she will be evaluating the impact of colloid therapy on overall volume balance in critically ill patients. In her free time, Kennedy enjoys traveling, exercising, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.

Melissa Elliot, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Melissa Elliot is from Lake George, New York. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from State University of New York at Oswego. She then graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy while also attending The Citadel to complete her Master in Business Administration. Melissa’s professional interests include oncology and critical care. Her resident research project this year is evaluating the safety and efficacy of high dose SQ insulin scale protocol in neurocritical care. Melissa enjoys going to the beach, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Logan Johnson, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Critical Care Resident

Logan Johnson is from Louisville, Georgia. She did her undergraduate classes at the University of Georgia and went on to graduate magna cum laude from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. Logan completed her PGY-1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville. Her research project this year is evaluating the safety and efficacy of systemic alteplase vs systemic tenecteplase vs catheter-directed thrombolysis with alteplase for the treatment of high-risk pulmonary embolism. In Logan’s free time she enjoys playing pickleball, being with her family and friends, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs!

Lauren Meaney, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Lauren Meaney was born in Winnipeg, Canada and moved to Tampa, Florida in 2011. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Florida. Lauren graduated this past May with her Doctorate in Pharmacy from the University of Florida – Jacksonville Campus. Her professional interests include critical care and emergency medicine. Her research project this year will evaluate the use of buspirone in weaning sedation in mechanically ventilated patients. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, playing with her dog Melo, and spending time with friends and family.

Allison Shaunak, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Allison Shaunak is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. She graduated cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in Food Science. She then graduated cum laude from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Pharmacy. Allison’s professional interests include academia, critical care, and internal medicine. Her resident project is evaluating the impact of inappropriate utilization and continuation of midodrine in wards populations. In her free time, Allison enjoys trying new ice cream shops, reading, and playing board games.

Jessi Shelton, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Jessi Shelton was born and raised in Tampa, FL. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Florida. Jessi graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Pharmacy in Charleston, SC. Her professional interests include critical care and emergency medicine. Her research project this year will examine the effect of holding ACE’s, ARB’s, and ARNI’s prior to non – cardiac surgery. In her free time, Jessi enjoys going to the beach, running, scuba diving, and spending time with her friends and family.

Logan Smith, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Logan Smith is originally from Milledgeville, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate coursework at Georgia Military College and Georgia College, then went on to graduate Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia College of Pharmacy. Logan is interested in emergency medicine and critical care and plans to pursue a PGY-2 in one of these fields. His research project is evaluating the impact of real-time pharmacist monitoring of heparin infusions on heparin-related medication errors. In his free time, Logan enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family.

Tanner Smith, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Tanner Smith is from Clermont, Florida. He attended undergrad at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida. He then graduated with honors from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Orlando campus in 2023. Tanner’s professional interests include emergency medicine and pediatrics. His resident research project is looking to evaluate the efficacy of high-dose nitroglycerin on sympathetic crashing acute pulmonary edema (SCAPE). Outside of the pharmacy, Tanner enjoys staying active by running, biking, going to the gym, or traveling.

Justin Sta. Ana, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Justin Sta. Ana is originally from Trinity, Florida. He completed his undergraduate studies at St. Petersburg College and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Jacksonville campus in 2023. His professional interests include ambulatory care and pain management. His resident research project this year involves evaluating the use of IV intralipids in neonatal patients and determining if there is a difference in the incidence of cholestasis/liver dysfunction of the three IV fat emulsions used at UF Health. During his free time, Justin enjoys working out, playing golf and basketball, traveling, attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.

Kaitlyn Tenn, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Kaitlyn Tenn is originally from Pembroke Pines, Florida. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Florida State University and went on to receive her Pharm.D. from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Her current professional interests include critical care and psychiatry. Her resident research project for this year is Evaluation of High Risk for Relapse for Patients with Enterococcal Endocarditis. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys trying new food spots, working out, spending time with her two cats, and playing pickle ball.

Caroline Terrell, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Caroline Terrell is from Jacksonville Beach, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alabama and went on to graduate with highest honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy (Nashville Campus). Caroline’s professional interests include critical care and cardiology. Her resident research project this year involves evaluating the use of continuous intravenous nitroglycerin and loop diuretic infusions for the management of congestive heart failure exacerbations. In her free time, Caroline enjoys boating, offshore fishing, running, and cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide. Roll Tide!

Scott Turner, Pharm.D.

PGY2 Emergency Medicine Resident

Scott Turner is originally from Orlando, Florida. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Florida in 2017, then graduated cum laude from the University of Florida College of Pharmacy (Jacksonville Campus) in 2022. Scott’s professional interests within emergency medicine include toxicology, resus/trauma, psychiatry, and infectious disease. His research project this year examines the impact of a subcutaneous insulin protocol in patients presenting to the emergency department with mild to moderate diabetic ketoacidosis compared to a continuous IV insulin infusion. In his free time, Scott likes to hang out at the beach, go to concerts in Jacksonville and St. Augustine, and spend time with family and friends.

Satya Yaramati, Pharm.D.

PGY1 Pharmacy Resident

Satya Yaramati is from Charlotte, North Carolina. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Pittsburgh in 2018, and graduated with high honors from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in 2023. Her professional interests include pain management and internal medicine. Her research project this year involves evaluating the efficacy of buprenorphine micro-induction for the treatment of opioid use disorder. In her free time, Satya enjoys cooking, traveling, binge-watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
